Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across hospital areas for patients, staff and visitors. You will use vacuums, mops, high dusters and floor polishers and follow all safety and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines while supporting a collaborative team. Weekend/evening shifts may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across all hospital areas according to established quality standards and regulations.
• Utilize equipment such as high dusters, vacuums, mops, and floor polishers to perform cleaning duties.
