Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking an Environmental Services team member responsible for cleaning offices and department areas, trash removal, and bathroom cleaning. The role requires flexibility with varied schedules, holidays, and on-call duties, with a mixed shift pattern.

Applicants should have prior environmental services experience or be capable of working independently with limited supervision. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned rooms and areas to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Cleans and burnishes floors to maintain an attractive appearance.
• Assists with project work as assigned.
• Completes assigned schedule of duties efficiently.
• Maintains a positive service attitude and responds to requests promptly.
• Interacts cooperatively with other employees and staff.
• Knows and safely uses equipment and chemicals according to procedures.
• Maintains professional image and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
• Reports and is prepared to begin work at scheduled times, with proper sign-in/out.
