Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a full-time Electrician for the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and life-safety equipment across the facility, including fire alarm systems and emergency generators.

Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, a trade or vocational school background, and a NC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Trade or vocational school graduate.
• Electrician's license preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.
• 5 years of electrical maintenance experience required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to communicate with staff, patients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, test, install, and repair electrical systems.
• Maintain life-safety systems including fire alarm, generators, switchgear.
• Respond to incidents and troubleshoot facility electrical issues.
• Complete in-service for physical plant and Life Safety systems.
• Assist with safety and continuous improvement activities.
