Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Electrician to perform general electrical maintenance, repair, and installation across hospital facilities. You will work with building systems, emergency generators, transformers, and Maximo-based monitoring tools to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license, 3–5 years of related experience, and strong ability to read blueprints and estimate materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License required.
• 3–5 years related work experience required.
• Graduate of a High school or technical school, and apprenticeship.
• Experience with healthcare facilities electrical systems and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency with basic computing and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Care and proper use of hand and power tools and building materials for repair of clinical, research, and plant equipment.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, devices, and components for building operations; operate, repair, and maintain electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, lighting, and conduit systems.
• Use blueprints and specifications to locate and diagnose electrical troubles; estimate loads, requirements, and materials.
• Perform general building maintenance and related tasks as assigned.
• Oversee and maintain the Prieumatic Tube System and Maximo System.
