Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking an Electrician to handle installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You will ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes while supporting a safe environment for staff and patients.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, possess a Massachusetts Journeyman’s Electrical License, and be capable of performing emergency repairs. Comprehensive benefits are offered, including medical and dental coverage, paid time off, and career advancement opportunities.
Perform installation, testing, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair duties involving electric light and power distribution circuits, controls, and appliances throughout hospital buildings and grounds. Maintain the hospital’s electrical distribution systems in compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and hospital regulatory agencies. Safeguard a safe electrical environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Coordinate work orders, estimate time and materials, maintain nurse call, paging, mechanical alarm, and medical gas alarm systems. Repair electric motors, controllers, and other auxiliary electrical devices and perform emergency repairs to medical equipment. Install new wiring and electrical machinery, read prints and diagrams for layout specifications, bend conduit, run concealed wiring, isolate and repair circuits, dismantle machinery, replace defective parts, and test for proper operation. Maintain lighting systems, central clock system, and CATV cabling, assist the fire alarm testing company, support other trades during overload or emergency situations, and assist with snow removal as needed.
