Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading healthcare campus in Barnet. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.

Role requires Level 3 Electrical Installations and City & Guilds 18th Edition, with experience in medical facilities. Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00, with additional overtime and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualified in Level 3 Electrical Installations.
City and Guilds 18th Edition required.
Experience in hospital, clinical, or critical-care environments preferred.
HV or LV knowledge beneficial but not essential.
Good general knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain hospital electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power and control systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switchgear, transformers and circuit breakers.
Report to line manager with issues and follow escalation procedures.
Escort sub-contractors around the site and ensure compliance with site rules.
Maintain and test emergency power systems including generators, UPS and ATS.
Respond promptly to faults impacting critical areas (operating theatres, ICU, labs).
Record maintenance, inspections, outages and repairs accurately.
Ensure all installations comply with hospital policies and electrical codes.
