Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) seeks an Electrician to perform skilled electrical work, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining systems in a critical healthcare environment. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of electrician experience in commercial, industrial, or healthcare facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, troubleshooting, and repair methods.
  • Experience with 480/277V, 208/120V, and 24V control systems.
  • Ability to work in a mission-critical environment where outages impact hospital operations.
  • Background screening for federal installation access.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.
  • Diagnose and repair lighting systems, panels, transformers, motors, disconnects, relays, and breakers.
  • Maintain and repair emergency power systems including generators, ATS, UPS, and emergency lighting.
  • Provide electrical support for critical hospital systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, and controls trades to complete repairs.
