Job summary

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) seeks an Electrician to perform skilled electrical work, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining systems in a critical healthcare environment. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3–5 years of electrician experience in commercial, industrial, or healthcare facilities.
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, troubleshooting, and repair methods.
Experience with 480/277V, 208/120V, and 24V control systems.
Ability to work in a mission-critical environment where outages impact hospital operations.
Background screening for federal installation access.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.
Diagnose and repair lighting systems, panels, transformers, motors, disconnects, relays, and breakers.
Maintain and repair emergency power systems including generators, ATS, UPS, and emergency lighting.
Provide electrical support for critical hospital systems and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, and controls trades to complete repairs.
