Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time Dietitian to assess nutritional status and develop individualized care plans for hospitalized patients, using electronic medical records and patient interviews.

You will educate patients of all ages on diet modifications, document findings, and work with the nutrition team, nurses, and physicians to support recovery. A BS in Dietetics and Iowa licensure/CDR eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Dietetics completed.
• Registration eligible upon internship completion or current licensure required.
• Must hold Iowa Dietetic Practice license or be eligible for registration.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional status and provide individualized care plans for hospitalized patients.
• Educate and counsel patients of all ages on diet modifications for recovery.
• Document findings and follow-up in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate with dietitians, nursing staff and others for patient care.
