Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated culinary team member to prepare meals for patients, visitors, and staff. Under guidance of the chef, you will follow recipes, maintain sanitation, and ensure meals meet diet requirements while delivering quality service.

Full-time roles with day/evening/night shifts are available. Candidates must pass background checks and drug screens. Prior healthcare or hospital kitchen experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Follow company recipes and guidelines to prepare all food items.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
