Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments to ensure smooth workflow in Nutrition Services.
• Prepare specified foods in appropriate quantities using approved recipes and portion control.
• Ensure foods are ready on time to meet the food service schedule.
• Check menus in advance and adjust recipes to meet counts.
• Review menus with Cooks and monitor preparation procedures.
• Update patient menus according to daily census; inspect final product for nutrition and appearance.
• Ensure foodstuffs are available, store and rotate perishable items.
• Assist with orientation and training of Dietary personnel.
• Perform opening/closing duties and adjust schedules for absences or volume.
• Maintain cash controls and daily accounting procedures.
