Job summary

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Food Service Worker / Dietary Aide to support the Nutrition Services Department in a hospital setting. You will assist with simple food prep, tray delivery, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

The role is full-time with varying shifts. A high school diploma is required; prior food service experience is preferred and HACCP guidelines must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Must be able to read with comprehension and follow simple instructions.
• Must perform repetitive tasks and uphold proper sanitation.
• Previous food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in simple food preparation, following HACCP procedures.
• Transports and stores food and supplies.
• Washes, cleans and stores equipment; cleans department floors.
• Prepares, delivers and retrieves patient, guest and staff trays per infection control standards.
• Provides service to cafeteria customers following customer service standards.
• Sets up, stocks and maintains daily work area, using FIFO and proper dating.
