Job summary

Emerus is a leader in small-format hospitals seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient nutrition needs. This patient-facing role maintains sanitary food service areas, prepares and serves heat-and-serve meals, and ensures dietary restrictions are followed as documented in patient records.

Responsibilities include setting up meal trays, delivering meals, operating dishwashing and sanitation processes, and helping with daily cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler Safety Training Certificate required.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital food service experience required.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in all food service areas.
• Sets up meal trays and delivers meals to patients.
• Operates dishwasher and sanitation equipment safely.
• Reports any discrepancies to department supervisor.
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties per policies and procedures.
• Prepares snacks and beverages between meals as needed.
• Assists with nutritional supplements and tube feeding products when required.
