Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support the Food & Nutrition department. The role includes preparing cold foods for patient trays, delivering meals, and maintaining sanitation and inventory in accordance with HAACP guidelines.

Requires some high school and up to 1 year of related experience; healthcare dietary experience is preferred and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school (or equivalent) required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Previous experience as dietary aide in healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate basic web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cold food for patient line and traveling meals.
• Delivers and retrieves food carts/trays from patient units following infection control guidelines.
• Washes pots, pans and utensils according to departmental guidelines.
• Stores clean items in an organized and sanitary manner.
• Maintains cleanliness of assigned work area and performs cleaning activities.
