Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a dedicated courier to transport lab and clinical materials across campus and to partner sites. You will operate hospital vehicles, complete routes daily, and document all pickups according to department guidelines.

The role requires a High School diploma, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check and training. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drives Nationwide Children’s Hospital vehicles for courier routes and on-demand jobs.
• Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.
• Handles pick-ups and deliveries from lab, pharmacy, homecare, referring hospitals, clinics and outpatient centers.
• Documents route information and pick-ups per department guidelines.
• Assesses weather conditions to preplan trips and delays.
• Ensures cargo and vehicle safety per hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training of new staff and documents progress.
• Provides customer service to ensure patient care.
