Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring for immediate temporary COOK positions at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. The role supports patient meals, operates the kitchen, follows HACCP standards, and requires 8:00 am–4:30 pm shifts with rotating weekends.

Prior healthcare cooking experience is preferred; this is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and production schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with proper portioning and temperatures.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment and follows safety procedures.
• Participates in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required.
