Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring for temporary COOK positions at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. The schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with rotating weekends. This temporary role may lead to permanent opportunities based on performance.

Prior healthcare cooking experience is preferred, and the rate is $16.50 per hour. We offer a supportive team environment focused on patient nourishment, food safety, and quality service.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
