Beacon Health System in South Bend, IN is hiring a PRN as-needed day shift Cook in Memorial Hospital's Nutritional Services Department. You will prepare meals for patients, staff, and hospital events under supervision of the Chef Manager, following recipes and safety standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 17 years of age.
• At least 1 year of hospital/food service experience preferred.
• Previous hot line experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook food for patients, staff, and catered events.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and sanitation guidelines.
• Prepare ingredients for various service areas (entrée, breakfast, cafeteria, grill, soup, vegetables).
• Deliver meals to service areas in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or needs to leadership.
• Complete production records and support QA initiatives.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and service.
• Maintain Serve Safe Food Handling training knowledge.
• Participate in departmental meetings, education, and special projects.
• Adhere to policies, safety standards, and overtime as needed.
