Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital-OKC is seeking a full-time Cook in Oklahoma City. You will prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests and may assist with cleaning of cooking and eating areas.

You will supervise dietary staff in the Manager's absence, ensuring policy adherence and safety standards. The role requires at least one year of cooking experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with culinary degree and food safety training favored.

Qualifications

• One year cooking experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests.
• Assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas.
• In the absence of the Manager, supervise the dietary staff and ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain sanitation, safety and infection control policies in the kitchen.
