Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cook I at Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold foods for meals and events in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, cooking, and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements and requisition supplies to plan production.
• Significant walking or other mobility required; ability to stand for long periods.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and maintain reliability.
