Memorial Hospital Belleville is hiring a full-time Cook to support the Food & Nutrition Department, preparing hot and cold meals for patients, retail and catering, following dietary requirements.

Responsibilities include following recipes, using institutional equipment, maintaining food safety, labeling and storage, and ensuring proper serving temperatures. Requires High School Diploma or GED and ServSafe certification; no explicit experience required.

Qualifications

• Prepares hot and cold foods for patient meals, retail and catering.
• Adheres to dietary requirements and food safety guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper labeling of foods.

Responsibilities

• Preps and prepares food items by cutting, chopping, slicing, dicing, pureeing, marinating.
• Follows standardized recipes and uses cooking techniques with institutional equipment.
• Chills and stores foods per labeling and safety guidelines; maintains logs.
• Ensures compliance with special dietary requirements and allergens.
• Cleans kitchen equipment, appliances and work areas to maintain sanitation.
