Locations : The Woodlands, TX 77384 & Houston, TX 77070

Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour

Schedule : Full-Time | Weekends, Holidays, and Overtime Required

Job Description :

Dean's Professional Services is now hiring an experienced Hospital Cook to float between two medical facilities located in The Woodlands (77384) and Houston (77070). This role plays a critical part in supporting patient care by preparing and serving nutritious meals that meet strict healthcare standards. If you're passionate about food service in a healthcare setting and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and cook meals according to hospital recipes and dietary guidelines
• Follow portion control, food safety, and sanitation procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in food prep and service areas
• Work collaboratively with dietary and clinical staff to support patient needs
• Rotate between assigned hospital locations as needed
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including weekends, holidays, and overtime shifts

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting
• Flexibility to float between The Woodlands and Houston locations
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime
• Current TB test and immunization records, or willingness to obtain prior to employment
• Knowledge ofgeneral food safety standards
• Strong time management and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
