Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Controller to lead the hospital's accounting and financial operations, including billing, AR, cash receipts, payroll, GL, budgeting, and internal controls. You will prepare financial reviews and reports, drive efficiency, and work with hospital leadership to meet fiscal goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and at least five years of hospital accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum five years hospital accounting experience.
• Knowledge of financial management principles and techniques.
• Experience in budgeting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the accounting system and financial operations of the hospital, including billing, accounts receivable, cash receipts, collections, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and audits.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reviews, budgets, and state financial reports as required.
• Develop and implement plans to improve operational efficiency as requested by CEO and leadership.
• Participate in hospital Governing Body committees and partnership boards as needed.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with Medicare regulations.
