Job Description

As a Hospital Control Center Officerin Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will support hospital operations by monitoring security systems, coordinating communications, responding to calls for assistance, and dispatching security personnel to incidents as needed. You will help maintain situational awareness throughout the facility, support access control procedures, monitor and relay information regarding security-related activity, and maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using technology. You will communicate clearly and professionally with hospital staff, patients, visitors, and security personnel while helping ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and communicate concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
