Job summary
Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking a Director of Hospital Contracting for the CA Market to lead negotiations with hospitals and health systems and to develop contracting strategies that support network growth and competitive reimbursement.
The role requires strong expertise in hospital reimbursement methodologies, risk-based contracting, and value-based arrangements, with a hybrid work structure and location in Monterey Park, CA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years healthcare contracting experience with hospitals/health systems.
- Experience negotiating managed care agreements and risk-based contracting.
Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations and relationship management with hospitals, IDSs, academic medical centers, and other providers.
- Develop and execute hospital contracting strategies to support network expansion and financial performance.
- Analyze hospital utilization, reimbursement models, and financial performance to support contract strategies.
- Negotiate complex facility agreements including inpatient, outpatient, behavioral health, post-acute, and ancillary services.
- Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for rate optimization and risk mitigation.
- Prepare analyses and recommendations on network strategy and market opportunities.
