Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for all patients. You will ensure safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution and control of medications while supporting clinical programs and patient care.

You will review orders, monitor drug interactions, and collaborate with physicians to optimize therapy and patient outcomes in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD from College of Pharmacy.
• Experience in acute-care hospital setting or residency preferred.
• Current FL Pharmacist license or eligible.
• Eligible to sit for NAPLEX.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop clinical pharmacy programs to meet patient needs.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support for all patient areas.
• Review medication orders for drug appropriateness and interactions; adjust dosages as needed.
• Ensure safe dispensing of medications across patient age groups.
• Monitor narcotic transactions and reconcile quantities.
• Assist with physician consults and retrieve reliable drug information.
• Communicate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
