Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a per diem Environmental Services Associate to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in accordance with infection control guidelines and department schedules. You will accurately dispose of hazardous waste and sanitize equipment to maintain a safe hospital environment.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals and operation of cleaning tools, with 0-1 year of related experience preferred. Onsite work at 789 Central Avenue with evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
• Working knowledge of vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Complete waste stream removal according to procedures.
• Clean and service assigned areas per established procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies around departments to maintain cleanliness.
• Operate cleaning equipment (floor machines, buffers).
• Participate in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintain assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.
