Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge is seeking a hospital environmental cleaner to thoroughly clean and sanitize areas, dispose of hazardous waste, and operate cleaning equipment according to infection control guidelines.

The role requires standing and walking; 0-1 year of related experience is preferred, and a High School Diploma or equivalent is recommended. This is an onsite position with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties per schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Complete waste stream removal.
• Clean and service assigned areas in accordance with procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed around the Medical Center.
• Operate cleaning equipment (floor machines, buffers).
• Attend at least eight unit/department meetings per year.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
