Job summary

UNC Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to clean all areas of the hospital and care centers in accordance with established policies. This full-time role is based onsite at Pardee UNC Health Care and supports a large team across North Carolina.

The position involves cleaning, restocking, waste transport, linen handling, and operating various cleaning and floor equipment. You will also utilize bed tracking and Kronos systems, and participate in hospital functions while training new

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Able to climb a ladder to hang or remove drapes.
• Stands, walks, stoops, bends, and perform very physical tasks for the entire shift.
• Must practice good body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas of the hospital/care center according to policies and procedures.
• Transports linens and waste streams according to procedure.
• Replenishes linen and stock supplies to par levels.
• Demonstrates good time management and maintains responsibility for equipment.
• Operates and maintains equipment; cleans and stores after use; uses signage for floor maintenance.
• Uses bed tracking systems and Kronos; participates in departmental and hospital functions.
• Trains and instructs new hires and performs other duties as assigned.
