Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Building Attendant for Gouverneur Hospital in Gouverneur, NY to join Environmental Services. This full-time evening shift includes weekend rotation and requires a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

You will remove trash, clean patient rooms and common areas, maintain floors, and respond to requests from visitors and staff while following OSHA and MSDS guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of industrial/institutional cleaning experience.
• Current NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Removal and disposal of trash and waste products.
• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and hospital common areas within established departmental standards.
• Maintain floors, strip and wax floors; shampoo carpets according to scheduled maintenance standards.
• Maintain walkways to ensure safe access.
• Respond to visitor, patient, and staff requests for assistance.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA and MSDS practices.
• High focus on customer and patient satisfaction.
• Work as a team towards accomplishing departmental goals.
