Job summary

Gouverneur Hospital, part of Rochester Regional Health, seeks a Building Attendant for Environmental Services. This full-time evening schedule (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) includes every-other-weekend rotation.

You will help maintain clean, safe spaces and support patient and staff needs in a busy hospital environment. Primary tasks include trash disposal, cleaning patient rooms and common areas, floor care, and ensuring safe walkways.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months industrial/institutional cleaning experience.
• Current NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Removal and disposal of trash and waste products.
• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and hospital common areas within established departmental standards.
• Maintain floors, strip and wax floors; shampoo carpets according to scheduled maintenance standards.
• Maintain walkways to ensure safe access.
• Respond to visitor, patient, and staff requests for assistance.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA and MSDS practices.
• High focus on customer and patient satisfaction.
• Work as a team towards accomplishing departmental goals.
