Job summary

Rochester Regional Health Gouverneur Hospital is seeking a Building Attendant in Environmental Services to support a clean, safe patient and visitor environment. This full-time evening shift includes weekend rotation and requires physical work coordinating cleaning of patient rooms, restrooms, offices and common areas under established standards.

Responsibilities include trash disposal, floor maintenance, carpet shampooing as scheduled, and responding to requests with a strong focus on customer

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
6 months industrial/institutional cleaning experience.
Current NYS Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Removal and disposal of trash and waste products.
Clean patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and hospital common areas within established departmental standards.
Maintain floors, strip and wax floors; shampoo carpets according to scheduled maintenance standards.
Maintain walkways to ensure safe access.
Respond to visitor, patient, and staff requests for assistance.
Maintain knowledge of OSHA and MSDS practices.
High focus on customer and patient satisfaction.
Work as a team towards accomplishing departmental goals.
