Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in theology or divinity from an accredited institution.
  • Certified Chaplain by a recognized board or certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Ecclesiastical endorsement (ordination or licensed) by a faith denomination.
  • Completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
  • Experience as a Chaplain in a health care pastoral care program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and employees through listening, counseling, and faith-based services.
  • Minister to people of all faith traditions and collaborate with the health care team to ensure timely spiritual care.
  • Assist with planning and implementing services that provide spiritual/charitable support to the organization and community.
