CommonSpirit Health seeks a Chaplain to serve at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE. The role provides direct spiritual and existential care to patients, families, and staff, integrating faith with holistic medical care.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, advocate for spiritual needs, and support diverse beliefs while maintaining compassionate presence during crises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience.
• Master's degree in theology or related field preferred.
• Board Certification as Chaplain APC or BCC preferred.
• Catholic Chaplain certification considered.
• Supervisory experience in CPE preferred.
• ACBE childbirth educator certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides pastoral/spiritual care to patients, families, and staff.
• Completes spiritual assessments and develops care plans; documents as required.
• Offers site orientation and mentoring to CPE Residents and Interns.
• Responds to routine and emergency referrals in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with local religious communities to meet patient spiritual needs.
• Coordinates spiritual/pastoral ministry and bereavement care at end of life.
