Harborview Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Carpenter for 100% FTE with a day shift, Monday to Friday. Responsible for journey-level carpentry in hospital facilities, including framing, drywall, wall protection, doors and hardware, fittings, and cabinets.

The role involves repairing walls and fixtures, installing patient and staff furniture, and operating power tools. Completion of an apprenticeship or union journey status is required, plus valid driver's license in some cases.

Competenze

Completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship or journey status.
Four years’ applicable work experience.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.

Mansioni

Install metal stud framing, drywall, wall protection (FRP, Acrovyn, plywood) and doors, frames, windows, and hardware.
Repair walls, ceilings, screens, sashes, doors, furniture, fixtures, stairs, cupboards, windows and roofs.
Build, repair and install cabinets, patient furniture, staff furniture and casework.
Install wall-mounted fixtures (blood pressure gauges, alarms, dispensers, shelves, boards, sharps containers, cabinets).
Adjust/repair/replace locks, weather stripping, screens, mirrors, brackets, blinds, tracks, handrails, hinges, closures, panic hardware.
Operate power equipment (saws, jointers, lathes, sanders, planers, boring and mortising machines) and maintain equipment.
