Qualifications

• Culinary training or years of experience in institutional kitchen setting.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience required.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons and cooks various foods for cafeteria or patient rooms.
• Reviews menus and production schedules to determine quantities and timing.
• Prepares food by following standardized recipes and methods.
• Ensures foods meet standards for quality of taste and temperature.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper hygiene in the preparation areas.
• Documents leftovers and logs temperatures and production records.
• Participates in training and in-service education.
• Performs other duties to support department operations.
