Job summary

Thomas Cuisine is seeking a friendly Cashier/Retail Associate for our Hospital Cafe in Fresno, CA. You will serve patients, visitors and staff, handle transactions, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Experience in food service or retail is a plus; ServSafe and state food handler cards are preferred. This on-site role offers swing shifts and both full-time and part-time schedules with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• State Food Handler Card required.
• Experience in food service or retail is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register with high accuracy.
• Set up cashier bank.
• Document cash received and charges.
• Assist customers and refer questions to appropriate department.
• Collect data for cash control.
• Stock refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.
• Clean, sanitize, polish general work areas; this includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and throwing trash.
• Prepare and gather items needed for meal service.
• Provide exceptional service to all guests.
• Other duties as assigned.
