Job summary

Children's National Rehabilitation and Specialized Care Center (RSC) seeks a Building Engineer to maintain a safe, reliable hospital environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect and repair MEP systems, and ensure regulatory compliance across FDA, Joint Commission and local codes.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, documenting readings, and coordinating with multiple teams to minimize downtime while supporting patient care and family-centered services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 10 years of hospital/building maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on hospital equipment, building systems and utilities.
• Conduct daily building rounds and monitor system readings.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and utility systems.
