Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Underground Storage Tank Operator Training Class B designation within 60 days of hire.
• Three to five years’ experience as a boiler plant operator or equivalent role.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive Augusta Health vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and related equipment safely to generate steam for hospital needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and log results in the CMMS.
• Inspect and service motors, pumps, valves, and controls; troubleshoot as needed.
• Test condensate water and fuel systems; adjust chemicals for efficiency.
• Maintain boiler room safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays to assure 24/7 coverage.
