Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Storekeeper 1 to support the bed management team. This role is responsible for the physical movement of hospital beds within University Hospital and Ross Heart Hospital, ensuring safe patient care environments.

You will work with Patient Flow, external bed management vendors, and Operations leadership to plan and oversee initiatives aimed at improving bed management, resource utilization, and clinical quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Read and write simple sentences.
• 1 course in record keeping (or 1 mo. exp.); 1 course in inventory control (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Move OSU-owned hospital beds within University Hospital and Ross Heart Hospital to maintain safe patient care environments.
• Collaborate with Patient Flow, external bed management vendors, and Operations leadership to plan and oversee bed management initiatives.
• Monitor location, collection, delivery, and transfer of beds; ensure compliance with codes and accreditation requirements.
