Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; must start BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required.
• PALS and ACLS may be required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic assessments from admission to discharge across the care continuum.
• Administers medications per licensure and documents administration.
• Plans care with patient and family using current knowledge and safety goals.
• Identifies patient problems and prioritizes care with the medical plan.
• Implements nursing interventions to meet patient and family needs.
• Educates patients and families and evaluates outcomes.
