Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years armed security experience (may substituted by honorable military service) preferred.
• Law enforcement experience preferred.
• Healthcare security experience preferred.
• Verbal de-escalation training must be completed within 60 days of hire.
• BLS required within 60 days of hire.
• Firearms training and related certifications required before credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent security patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Identify and report trends related to security issues; recommend actions.
• Take initial information for incident reports with factual notes and timely submission.
• Respond to service requests from supervisor/colleagues in a courteous and expeditious manner.
• Assist with handling lost and found items and patient valuables per policy.
• Enforce CHRISTUS Health policies and state laws.
• Control facility parking and enforce related rules.
• Assist staff with combative individuals; ensure safety of patients and associates.
