The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prefers an associates degree, and demonstrates strong communication and bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree.
• One year of customer service experience required.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Prior admitting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual preferred and demonstrate excellent public relation and communication skills.
• 30 wpm typing.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Verbalizes and/or demonstrates knowledge of clinical information and practices essential to assuring provision of age-specific care to patients.
• Assists with patient registration and demographic data collection.
• Obtains and reviews insurance information and authorization requirements.
• Prepares and delivers patient documents and identifiers to initiate patient care.
• Prioritizes registration and transportation per patient needs.
• Coordinates with departments and volunteers for document delivery and patient flow.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy in all patient interactions.
• Supports hospital mission and compliance with Code of Conduct.
