Unpaid Volunteer Position at BAYADA Hospice in York County

This is an unpaid position.

BAYADA Hospice is seeking volunteers in York County to join our team in the Harrisburg Office, located in Harrisburg, PA. Our office services clients throughout York County.

Are you compassionate and eager to help others? At BAYADA Hospice, we believe in providing care with compassion, excellence, and reliability. As a volunteer, you will support clients and their families, assisting with home management, emotional support, and end-of-life care as part of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group (IDG).

Volunteer Opportunities:

1. Assistance with home management tasks
2. Providing companionship and friendship to clients
3. Offering caregiver relief
4. Specialty areas such as Veteran-to-Veteran Support, Reiki, Massage, Pet Therapy, Craft Volunteer, End of Life Doula
5. Sharing talents like music or art
6. Transport escort services, as needed
7. Clerical work and office support
8. Memorial Service Planning
9. Bereavement support to loved ones

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Criminal background check completed as per state requirements
• Meet all state volunteer requirements where applicable
• Meet BAYADA and state regulations for providing professional services, if applicable
