Elara Caring in Tinley Park, IL seeks a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to build and lead a compassionate volunteer team in home-based care. You will recruit, screen, and train volunteers and partner with clinical staff to deliver the Right Care at the Right Time.

This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Base pay for this position is $20 to $24 hourly, based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a healthcare or hospice environment.
• Ability to plan, organize and supervise volunteers.
• Demonstrated problem solving, organization and attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, documentation requirements and deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Promotes Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
• Assures volunteers provide service equal to at least 5% of direct care hours.
• Supervises and establishes goals and objectives with and for the volunteer program.
• Screens, selects, evaluates, counsels and provides disciplinary actions to volunteers.
• Assigns volunteers to meet program needs appropriate to volunteers’ interests and skills.
• Documents and tracks volunteer statistics and records as evidenced by evaluations and other volunteer demographic needs.
• Manages time in a cost-effective manner regarding the hospice reimbursement methodologies.
• Tracks and records volunteer hours and comprise a current and accurate volunteer cost-savings report.
• Assures volunteer recruiting meets goals per agency strategic plan.
