Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in a health care setting; hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred.
• College degree; advanced degree preferred in human services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program.
• Recruits, educates, and selects volunteers from multiple recruitment sessions a year.
• Establish volunteer service needs with patient and family/caregiver and hospice team.
• Supervise and evaluate volunteers; maintain monthly statistics and personnel files.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and provide information about hospice volunteer services.
• Participate in budget planning and quality improvement activities.
