Job summary

Compassus seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to lead volunteers, align with Compassus values, and support patient care teams. This role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering quality volunteer service.

Responsibilities include planning workload, evaluating volunteers, maintaining records, communicating with the IDT, and delivering in-services to volunteers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AS/BS preferred.
• Experience in Social Services, Human Services, Resource Management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) in care plan development.
• Promotes the use of volunteers to support patient care needs.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and supervises volunteers; plans workload.
• Maintains recruitment and retention records and volunteer utilization data.
• Provides education about volunteer services to IDT and delivers in-services to volunteers.
