Job summary

Trinity Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead our office's volunteer program. The VC will recruit, train, retain, and supervise volunteers providing day-to-day administrative and direct patient care support.

Responsibilities include documenting recruitment efforts, coordinating training, tracking volunteer skills and hours, and integrating volunteers into care planning while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting and managing hospice volunteers preferred.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with the IDG and the community.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the overall volunteer program, including recruitment, training, retention, and supervision.
• Coordinates day-to-day admin or direct patient care volunteer placements as needed.
• Maintains records of volunteer skills, competencies, and in-service training.
• Ensures adequate volunteer hours meet program requirements and documents impact.
• Participates in care planning and records on the Plan of Care for patients receiving volunteer services.
