Job summary

HIA Hospice is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide compassionate hospice care in the Bismarck area. You will coordinate with the Interdisciplinary Group, assist with admissions, perform assessments, and manage symptoms in line with patient goals.

ND/MN RN licensure is required (dual licensure preferred), with at least 1 year hospital nursing or 2 years healthcare experience. A drug screen and background check are required; a monthly bonus opportunity is available.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or dual licensure upon hire).
• BSN preferred; hospital nursing experience valued.
• Minimum 1 year hospital staff nurse or 2 years health care experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication, counseling and teaching skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling; team player; comfort with end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to hospice patients in coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform admissions, physical assessments, symptom management and emotional support as directed.
• Work with primary physicians or hospice medical director for care plans.
• Serve patients in the Bismarck area and surrounding communities on a PRN basis.

Position Summary

Provision of nursing care to hospice patients in coordination with the interdisciplinary team (IDG) that is consistent with the goals, definitions, philosophy, and purpose of HIA Hospice. All nursing care, as approved by patients’ primary physicians or the hospice medical director, including hospice referrals, patient admissions, physical assessments, symptom management and emotional support.

This position is a PRN position and will be based out of our Bismarck office and serve the surrounding communities.

Pay Range: Starting at $34.67/hour (based on experience) with additional opportunities for monthly bonus based on performance and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of RN degree; BSN preferred.
