Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, part of Empath Health, is seeking a Hospice Team Leader / Senior Staff Nurse (RN) in Brandon, FL. This on-site, Monday–Friday leadership role coordinates the nursing care within the IDT and supports staff to deliver exceptional hospice services to patients and families.

Qualifications include Florida RN licensure, an associate degree or equivalent, and at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent; RN license in Florida.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Hospice experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the nursing component of care for the IDT and ensure continuity of patient care.
• Provide coverage and support to team members based on patient acuity.
• Assist in scheduling, staffing, and 24/7 on-call planning to maintain quality care.
• Review staff time sheets and patient documentation for compliance with standards.
• Support the Care Team Manager in IDT meetings and goal setting.
