Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate Hospice Care Center Registered Nurse PRN to join our Care Center in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. You will provide inpatient hospice care, assess patient needs, coordinate care, manage symptoms, educate families, and oversee LPNs and aides—night shift 8p-8a.

Minimum 1 year bedside nursing, valid Florida RN license, and valid FL driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bedside nursing experience.
• Valid Florida RN license.
• Valid Florida Driver2 License.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate patient/family needs and provide preventive and supportive care to terminally ill patient/family unit.
• Utilize assessment, intervention and teaching to maximize patient comfort and quality of life.
• Provide oversight and supervision of LPNs and aides; RN reports to Care Center Manager.
• Required to float if needed.
